With the popularity of smartwatches on the rise, here is our list of the top 5 smartwatches. The number of them on the market is increasing massively, including the new Apple Watch Series 4 which was announced only last week.
Samsung Galaxy Watch
The Samsung Smartwatch has a great battery life of just over 4 days on the 46mm version. This watch has 4GB of internal storage and wireless charging. This means you don’t have to have yet another wire to plug in and have lying around! Also, this watch has a great look to it with a handy rotating bezel, making it easy to navigate your way around the apps on your watch. This watch retails for £279.
Apple Watch 3-4
The Apple Watch Series 3 was already a great Smartwatch with many features to help make your day-to-day life run smoother. With the announcement of the Apple Watch Series 4 last week, it’s clear that this new version of the Apple Watch should be the best of the Apple Watches yet. It includes new health features such as the ECG machine and fall detector. Check out our last blog post for more information on the Apple Watch Series 4. As far as the Apple Watch Series 3 goes, it still has a great minimalistic sleek design with fitness tracking and 8GB of onboard storage. Being Apple, it is one of the more expensive Smartwatches starting at £279.
The Fitbit Versa looks very similar to the Apple Watch devices in that it has the sleek square screen with the rounded edges, however, this is a much cheaper device. This Fitbit includes Fitbit pay making it easy to make contactless payments. The Versa has a smaller amount of storage with only 2.5GB of onboard storage but does have a great 3-day battery life. This is one of the more affordable devices at £179.99.
Huawei Watch 2
This smartwatch has a very generic look to it and isn’t to everyone’s taste, but this watch does have some great features. The Huawei watch has 4GB onboard storage and has the option for a 4G version. However, the screen on this device is pretty small so doesn’t have the best display. The price is reasonable though compared to others on this list, at £189.99.
LG Watch Style
The LG watch has a great look slightly different to all the others on this list. It also has 4GB onboard storage. One disappointing thing about this product is that it only has a battery life of up to 24hr, but that isn’t a problem if you don’t mind charging your watch up every night. For what you get in this watch it is priced well at £189.99.
So, that was this week’s Appy Friday. Personally, I think the Apple Watch is the best investment simply based on the features it has, and the look of the device; It looks very sleek and comes in various different colours too. Let us know if you have any of these smartwatches or will be buying any of these!
